Missed Viru

India definitely missed Viru....He is better in playing short balls than any other player in current team. Moreover,India failed to capitalise on the advantage of power play.Start was not good, hence was not able to make big scores.

This statement is definitely true. Although Rohit Sharma did play a couple of good knocks, he was not consistent enough and did not have the hard hitting skills that Sehwag possesses. This also put a lot of pressure on Gambhir as there was no Sehwag at the other end hitting boundaries and this is the reason why India's opening partnership's didn't work out too well.

Hmmm.....Sehwag allowed Gambhir to gain momentum slowly as he kept the run rate at reasonable levels. But in his absence,it became really difficult as there was noone to exploit the power play advantage.
