Defensive game
« on: June 16, 2009, 07:33:08 AM »
I can't understand what was going on in the mind of R Jadeja when he was playing.
How can he play so irresponsibly and let the team suffer because of him??
It would have been better if he got out on 0 atleast other players might not have been under so much pressure and there was better chance of Indian victory. Why are they playing defensive cricket rather than attacking??Its beyond my understanding.

This point is very true. Ravindra Jadeja bowled relly well but when his turn came to bat he lost the plot. He scored too slowly and put his team in a lot of pressure. Perhaps if they kept Irfan in the team and didn't play Jadeja the overall outcome would have been totally different.

It was not a wise decision to make changes to the team for such a crucial game, secondly, R Jadeja should not have ignored the required run rate which was continuously rising when he was playing. He should have taken risks if he was not able to score. There was no need of playing so defensively when good players were to follow him
