Whoever of you watched the match between West Indies and SriLanka will certainly have enjoyed the superb knock of 81 played by Sanath. But, batting isn't that difficult you say. Just stand there and hit the ball. Old men can do that.

The reason I am so impressed is, sometime during the West Indies innings, There was a catch dropped by Ajantha Mendis fielding at Sweeper cover. Sanath Jayasuria ran all the way from short fine leg to cover sweeper to take his place. A 24 year old being replaced by a 39 year old. Looks like this form of cricket has brought out the best in Sanath and he is giving reasons to all those cricketers like Gilchrist and Hayden who have retired to come back.
