Do anyone play cricket here with tennis ball? It's a great alternative for n00bs to use it instead of hard ball. Taped tennis ball cricket is very famous here in Pakistan, it won't harm even the kids.

Ya, its a great fun in playing Cricket with a tennis ball. played a lot before five years. the advantage of it being not causing Injury. we cant hit big shots with it. even if we hit as hard we can it will stay well inside the ropes.
