after entering into the super 8 round England seemed to be a bit strong enough to make it to the semis. but what all they can do is just to lose all the three matches in the super 8 round against South Africa , New Zealand , and last India to whom the won the ODI series very recently at home. at last they had to return home without the chance to enter the semis.
