England, Poor
« on: May 02, 2007, 10:16:12 AM »
England were very poor in the world cup, infact they could have lost to us (Ireland) if it wasn't for our bowling collapse in the last 10 overs which seeped something like 100 runs :(

Only beat us by 30 runs in the end

Their performance have declined in last couple of years, probably because of internal fights going between the players. The politics in sports is worst thing and shouldn't happen.

Hello,
I feel that poor performance of England in ODI matches have been due to serious injury problem in there camp and there more concentration on test cricket

well their poor form in the match is again proved in the World cup T20 series where they got expelled out after loosing all the three matches they played in the Super 8 round. this but this losses are only due to the poor bowling by the team. :)

Misery continues for England in both the world cups...no bdoy is to blame except the bowlers...they were so wayward that every ball could be hit for runs..
I hope they find there rythm soon otherwise England's position will be below Zimbabwe soon

This is very tough time for the Inventors of Cricket. All the players are lacking in form. no permanent bowlers. lacking all rounders. poor fielding. this all may lead them down to order in the ratings. they have to make a good start in the innings. they dont speed up the scoring rate in the powerplays. so they cant get big totals on the board which results in a loss...

England, the country where cricket was born. Or is that just a myth? The way England plays cricket nowadays it is no surprise that teams like Holland are beating them. The current England squad reminds me of the Zimbabwe squad that had so many potential talents, that were just WASTED!

Well, itz all time.....there are days when you are not able to perform as per your calibre...England is also not able to exploit its talent properly.
Else,England is not a bad team.
