Australian pace bowler Brett Lee has officially announced his retirement from Test cricket in a ploy to prolong his international limited-overs career.
Lee played 76 Test matches for Australia and is fourth on the country's all-time wicket-takers list with 310. His last appearance in the Test arena was in the Boxing Day clash against South Africa in 2008. The 33-year-old has struggled with injuries throughout 2009.
